In a circular, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced the setting of maximum price for the supplies and products of COVID-19 rapid test kits to the public in Qatar.

As per MOPH, based on Article No. (28) of Law No. (3) of 1983 regulating the professions of pharmacy, brokers and agents, pharmaceutical factories and companies, which stipulates that the competent authority may, whenever necessary, and in partnership with those with whom they are enriched, set the maximum prices for medicines and medical preparations, and their profit rates, and the price must be placed on each product or instrument, and it is prohibited to sell more than the declared price.

Accordingly, it was decided to set the maximum prices for the sale of requirements and products for rapid analysis of COVID-19 disease to be as follows:
