According to a report from Al Raya, Dr. Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, has announced that "the use of distance education will be activated in schools and universities if studying continues to be suspended."
Dr. Ibrahim mentioned that students have completed the first semester exams, and during this week the most of the second mid-semester exams were taken and a few remained.
"He added that the Ministry is studying various alternatives to deal with this situation, pointing out that there are several alternatives that will be applied if studying continues to be suspended to compensate students for the degrees of tests that are not finished."
"Dr. Al Naimi also mentioned, according to the announcement of the suspension of studying in schools and universities, the leave will start from today and will remain open until the instructions of the Ministry of Health are issued for its return, pointing out that until then schools and universities will remain closed until further notice. He confirmed that the suspension of the schools studying will not affect students, hoping that schools and universities will be reopened as soon as possible."
