The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that classes in government and private schools will be distance learning on Tuesday, 16 April 2024. Teachers are to provide classes remotely.

Students in government schools will participate in distance learning through the Qatar Education System, while students in private schools through each school's educational platform.

This decision is in light of the weather updates issued by the Qatar Meteorology Department regarding the expectation of thunderstorms in Qatar. The Ministry aims to secure the students' safety while ensuring the continuation of the educational process.
