We are in the second part of Phase 4 of the lifting of the coronavirus restrictions in Qatar and here are the latest updated weekly trends in terms of recoveries, new cases and deaths related to the current situation.
From 199 new confirmed cases reported on 1 October, the numbers have increased to 205 the following day, before decreasing to 175 and 159 on the consecutive 2 days. The number of new cases increased to 194 and 251 on the next two days on 5 October and 6 October, before decreasing to 238 and 213 on 7 October and 8 October respectively, towards the end of the week.
From 212 recoveries from the coronavirus (COVID-19) on 1 October, the numbers steadily decreased to 197, 194 and 173 on the following consecutive three days, before increasing to 189 and 229 on 5 and 6 October respectively. The number of recoveries decreased to 215 and 219 on 7 October and 8 October respectively, towards the end of the week.
This week saw 4 deaths in total, recorded on 2, 3 and 7 October, with the rest of the days of the week seeing no deaths reported. Qatar is marching strongly marching forward in curbing the coronavirus pandemic in the country, thanks to the efforts of the MoPH and the entire medical community.
