As Qatar plans to gradually lift COVID-19 restrictions, the Phase-2 (from July 1) will allow establishments operating in the activities of yachts and boats rental to resume their services. These establishments should adhere to the requirements adopted in the country to ensure public health and safety. In line with this, only families with a limit of 10 people maximum are allowed to rent yacht and boat for marine activities.

Use of private boats in marine activities resumed from June 15

Ministry of Interior issued an infographic regarding the resumption of marine activities as part of the gradual lifting of the Covid-19 preventive and precautionary restrictions. The number of people permitted on a boat was restricted by its type, for example, Sambuks and Personal yachts have a limit of 10 people maximum, while private cruisers used for the picnic and not licensed for fishing and jet boats have a limit of half their capacity.
