Qatar will see the commercial roll out of the ultra-fast 4G network over the next few months with the two service providers – Qtel and Vodafone reaching a crucial phase of the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) programme that will deliver the fourth generation network in the country.

The highly anticipated match was organised by Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar Shell, and officiated by Guinness World Records. The match which ran continuously for 11 hours, 58 minutes and 12 seconds was played by a total of 523 participants from all over Qatar.

Doha, February 14 – HE President of the Qatar Marine Sports Federation (QMSF) Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor Al Thani announced Wednesday that the QMSF is making its final preparations for an exciting new racing program in the United States of America and that Qatar will go head-to-head with the mighty USA with a two-pronged racing challenge this season.

The match drew hundreds of participants including Wael Sawan, Managing Director and Chairman of Qatar Shell Companies, and Sheikh Thani Al Thani, Deputy General Manager, Qatar Shell.

Cairo, February 13- Qatar Embassy in Cairo today celebrated the Sports Day which falls on the second Tuesday of the month of February every year in the presence of Qatar‘s Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al-Buainain and the embassy diplomats and staff.

Doha, February 13- Celebrations to mark the second edition of Qatar National Sports Day kicked off in Doha Tuesday morning, in implementation of the Emir decision which declared the second Tuesday of February each year to be National Sports Day.

To mark the second annual National Sport Day, Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development rejoiced by hosting family-friendly sports competitions and events for its staff, students, faculty and members of the public.
