Sheikh Thani said: “As the first of many activities under the KOORA TIME initiative, the world record attempt has been a huge success attracting youth from all over Qatar to come and play, along with their family and friends.”
He added: “In addition to having the pleasure of watching so many people play, I personally enjoyed taking part in a football match that we hope will break the world record.”
Meanwhile, Al Kuwari said he was happy the response to the five-year sustainable initiative. He said on Tuesday: “We are extremely pleased by the wholehearted response to this exciting initiative. This attempt is an opportunity for the whole family to get active and celebrate National Sports Day.”
