Cairo, February 13- Qatar Embassy in Cairo today celebrated the Sports Day which falls on the second Tuesday of the month of February every year in the presence of Qatar‘s Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al-Buainain and the embassy diplomats and staff. During the ceremony, held at the embassy premises, participants shed light on sporting activities in the country and the extensive sports development in the State of Qatar during the reign of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The attention paid by the state to sport and athletes as well as the importance of sport in the lives of peoples and its effective role in the development of society was also emphasized during the celebration. Qatar Embassy in UAE Celebrates National Sports Day The Qatari Embassy in UAE organized today at the corniche of Abu Dhabi, a sports day for all the Embassy’s diplomats and staff, on the occasion of the Qatar‘s National Sports Day. Qatar‘s Ambassador to UAE Abdullah Mohamed Al-Uthman said the sports day confirms Qatar‘s keenness to care for its citizens by emphasizing the importance of exercise and the keenness of the wise leadership to pay attention to public health of the citizens and residents. The Ambassador stressed that the embassy is always keen to participate in all national and sporting events that are held in Qatar.
