To ensure everything is well and ready for the biggest international tournament in Qatar, the FIFA Fan Festival hosted a Test Event on 16 November 2022, prior to its official opening, that saw special performances by Rodrigo Teaser, a world-renowned Michael Jackson impersonator.

On 19 November 2022, the FIFA Fan Festival officially opened and was attended by over 40,000 World Cup fans. Visitors enjoyed endless festivities, celebrations, and musical performances by Myriam Fares and Maluma where they sang the official FIFA Fan Festival Anthem titled ‘Tukoh Taka’.
The FIFA Fan Festival™ at Al Bidda Park in Doha has seen more than 1.8 million fans enjoy the live broadcast of games and the vibrant entertainment at the venue.
The 145,000 square meter and 40,000 capacity venue has welcomed an average of 70,000 visitors daily, with 146 music artists performing 162 hours of live music and more than 700,000 beverages sold throughout the tournament.
On 20 Nov, a fan lost her wallet at the FIFA Fan Festival at Al Bidda Park. The other fans there helped look for it & returned it back to her within 1 hour.

World Cup fans in Qatar are like no other. Truly living up to Qatar’s reputation as one of the safest communities in the world, a woman shared her experience first-hand. Having lost her wallet during the festivities, she shares that her wallet was returned to her without any loss after just one hour of looking for it.

The football hype surely took over as fans participated in a special sports event, Fans’ Cup, at the FIFA Fan Festival playground. The event witnessed 32 teams made up of tournament fans representing the World Cup participating countries from 29 November 2022 until 2 December 2022.

On 2 December 2022, the FIFA Fan Festival hit 1 million all-time visitors. To commemorate the milestone, the 1 millionth fan was awarded complimentary World Cup finals tickets. Local resident Haytham Mokhtar and his friend Sara won the tickets along with an official match ball signed by football legends.
