When you are travelling around Qatar for sightseeing, business, or leisure, loss of items may happen during the hustle and bustle. It can be very stressful to realize that you've left or lost something.

Worry not; the ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) Team is here to help! In this article, we'll guide you through the options on how you may find your lost items!

What to do if you lose something on the flight?

Reach out to the Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) Lost and Found at [email protected] and make sure that you give them complete details:

  • Passenger name
  • Airline and flight number
  • Date of loss
  • Item lost and a short description if possible
  • Your contact details

For Qatar Airways passengers, there is an online Lost and Found website where you can report your missing items. Additionally, you may also reach out to [email protected].

Some notes to remember if you lost your items on a Qatar Airways aircraft:

  • Lost items are unchecked items often lost in aircraft or airports.
  • Passport and identification items may be handed over to the local airport authorities.
  • Unclaimed properties are generally kept for 30 days.
  • All items over 30 days will be disposed of or donated.
  • Please note this may be subject to change.

What to do if you lose something at the airport?

If you're still on the HIA premises: Approach any HIA Information Desk to report your lost item.

It's not uncommon for fans to misplace and lose personal items during stadium celebrations. Don't worry, there are Lost & Found Claim Centres at all information points that are facilitated by volunteers that will be happy to help reunite you with your lost items.

    If you cannot claim your items during the matchday at the Lost & Found Claim Centres, any unclaimed lost items will be collected and taken to Qatar Post’s General Post Office for collection.

      • Sunday - Thursday: 7 am - 8 pm
      • Fridays: 1 pm - 8 pm
      • Saturdays: 8 am - 8 pm

    Alternatively, Qatar Post can deliver your found items to your address in Qatar or internationally for visiting fans.

    What to do if you lose something on public transportation?

    Qatar has many modes of public transportation, from Karwa taxis to the metro rail. Here are guides on how to report your lost items when travelling around Doha.

    Mowasalat (Karwa taxi, bus or metro express)

    1. Contact the hotline number at 800-8294 or send an email to [email protected].
    2. Provide taxi plate number, date, time, and copy of the receipt (if available).

    Qatar Rail

    1. If you are still in the train or tram stations, approach the information centres to report your lost item.
    2. If you have left the station, you can contact their customer service through their hotline by dialling 105.

    Uber

    1. Select "Activity" from the mobile application.
    2. The application will take you through a list of your past trips. Select the trip where you lost your item.
    3. Click on the "Find lost item".
    4. The application will open a ticket of inquiry with your driver.

    Careem

    1. Select 'Profile' on the application.
    2. Click on 'Help'.
    3. The application will show you your last trip. If the item you lost was on a previous trip, click "View past rides". Once you have selected the correct trip, click on 'Get help with this ride'.
    4. Select 'I lost an item'.
    5. Click on 'Message us' and provide the necessary details.
