Over 6,000 Mowasalat (Karwa) drivers will soon be trained in service excellence, along with additional knowledge of the country’s offerings. Mowasalat (Karwa), the major transport services provider in Qatar, has teamed up with Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) to enhance Qatar’s transportation experience further.

Through the new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Mowasalat (Karwa) and QNTC will be rolling out the training and certification over the coming months. The drivers will learn more about Qatar’s culture and tourism and how to offer excellent customer service. The MoU marks the first phase of the newly launched Service Excellence program, which forms a core part of QNTC’s tourism strategy.

Residents will not be the only ones who will benefit from this. The certification will enable drivers to act as Qatar’s ambassadors while offering best-in-class service to visitors from their first point of contact through every touchpoint in their destination. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, 1.5 million fans are expected to travel to the country.

This cooperation between Mowasalat (Karwa) and the QNTC opens new perspectives on several levels. Together Mowasalat (Karwa) and the QNTC will look into common transport infrastructure matters, innovative ways to connect and engage with customers, and out-of-the-box ideas for new vehicles and features.

Fahad Saad Al Qahtani, Chief Executive Officer of Mowasalat (Karwa) said:

“Our cooperation with the QNTC opens new perspectives on several levels. Together we look into common matters of transport infrastructure, innovative ways to connect and engage with our customers, out-of-the-box ideas for new vehicles and features, and finally representing the country in a positive way to our visitors. We are delighted that we will join forces with this very experienced partner for elevating our customer services to the next level of excellence.”
