Doha Metro & Lusail Tram announced on 31 January 2024 that the Doha Metro & Lusail Tram will operate from 10 am onwards on Friday, 2 February 2024 only.

The time change is to facilitate the travel of people attending the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Quarter-Final match between Jordan & Tajikistan, which is set to take place at 2:30 pm at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
