Qatar Sports Club signed Spanish coach Carlos Alos Ferrer to succeed Argentine coach Sergio Batista who led the team in the last season.

The club signed a two-year contract with Spanish coach and the team is to ready start a new era of success.

The management of the club held a press briefing to introduce the Spanish coach in the presence of Executive Director of the club Abdullah Hamed Al Mulla.

The 43-year-old has already formed the backroom team and has detailed chats with the club management over the team's future ambitions and targets.

Ferrer has endorsed the ambitions of the club management to move the team away from the troubles of the negative results it has suffered in the last few years.

Among the targets for the new coach is Qatar SC's desire to be in the top four or five in the QNB Stars League points standings.
