Qatar qualified for the next round of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship 2023 after defeating Afghanistan 3-0 (25-19 / 25-16 /25-19) at the end of its preliminary round matches on Sunday, 20 August 2023.
On Saturday, 19 August 2023, Qatar defeated India 3-0 (25-20 / 25-19 / 25-19) in its first match in the championship.
With its two wins, the Qatari team earned a full score of 6 points within Group E.
Eighteen teams are participating in the 22nd Asian Men's Volleyball Championship: Iran, Hong Kong and Iraq (Group A); Japan, Uzbekistan and Thailand (Group B); China, Kazakhstan and Indonesia (Group C); Taiwan, Bahrain and Mongolia (Group D) and Pakistan, South Korea and Bangladesh (Group F).
