Australia played against Uzbekistan in a Group B match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ on 23 January 2024 at the Al Janoub Stadium. The match kicked off at 2:30 pm.
Australia's Martin Boyle converted a penalty into a goal shortly before the first half of the match ended at 45+1st minute taking the lead at 1-0.
Uzbekistan's Azizbek Turg'unboyev equalizes the score with a goal in the 78th minute, taking the score to 1-1.
The full-time score was 1-1 with both teams sharing the points. Uzbekistan secures their spot in the Round of 16 and will be joined by Australia.
