Qatar Calendar House on 28 August 2023 announced that the phenomenon of the Blue Moon occurs when the moon reaches the full moon phase twice in one Gregorian month, at which time the second full moon is called the Blue Moon. As per the announcement, this phenomenon is during August.

As per Earth.com, the night of 30 August 2023 will be the biggest and brightest moon of the year for 2023. The upcoming full moon is a merger of a supermoon and a blue moon.
Earth.com also said that on 30 August, the ringed planet Saturn will accompany the rare blue supermoon. Observers can look for Saturn five degrees to the upper right of the Moon.
The supermoon phenomenon refers to the moon’s closeness to Earth during its full phase. This makes it appear more substantial and brighter.
