Mercury, Venus, Saturn & Jupiter to be visible in Qatar's sky during the month of November

The Qatar Calendar House announced that four of the planets of the solar system, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter, will approach the moon in the sky of the State of Qatar during the current month of November 2023, where the country’s residents can see and monitor all of Mercury, Saturn, and Jupiter in the Evening sky, seeing Venus in the dawn sky.

Dr Bashir Marzouq, an astronomer at the Qatari Calendar House, stated that on Thursday morning, 9 November 2023, Venus will be located at an angular distance of one arc degree from the Moon, and they can be seen together in the direction of the eastern horizon of the sky of Qatar from after the sunrise of Venus until before sunrise, noting that Venus will rise in the sky of Qatar at 2:23 pm while the sun will rise on Thursday at 5:46 am Doha local time.

On Tuesday, 14 November 2023, the smallest planet in the solar system, Mercury, will be near the crescent of the month, and the residents of Qatar can monitor and see the crescent and Mercury together towards the western horizon of the country’s sky after sunset at 4:47 pm, and even before the crescent moon sunset at 5:26 pm Doha local time.

On the evening of Monday, 20 November 2023, Saturn will be located at an angular distance of 2.7 arc degrees north of the moon, and the country’s residents will be able to monitor and see the moon and Saturn together with the naked eye above the southern horizon of the sky of Qatar from after sunset at 4:45 pm until before sunset of Saturn at 11:27 pm on Monday, Doha local time.

On the evening of Saturday, 25 November 2023, the giant of the solar system, Jupiter, will be located near the moon, and the residents of Qatar can see the moon and Jupiter together with the naked eye towards the eastern horizon of the country’s sky after sunset at 4:44 pm until Jupiter sunset at 4:05 am the next day, local Doha time.
