The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change announced in a tweet on 11 January 2023 that shipments containing dangerous and unlicensed chemicals have been seized.
☢️ قام فريق مختص من إدارة الوقاية من الإشعاع والمواد الكيميائية بوزارة البيئة والتغير المناخي بضبط عدد من الشحنات المحملة بمواد كيميائية خطرة وغير مرخصة، وقد تم اتخاذ الاجراءات القانونية اللازمة.

The seizing of the items was executed by a specialized team from the Department of Radiation and Chemicals Protection within the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and legal measures have been taken.
The ministry urged that the necessary approvals must be obtained prior to bringing in any such shipments to avoid legal action.
