Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) in a Tweet has announced that "We’re starting 2022 with a huge first time achievement in women’s history in Qatar. Qatari Mountaineer Asmaa bint Thani Al-Thani skied around 117km to reach the South Pole, and climbed Antarctica’s highest mountain - Vinson Massif, that stands 4892 km tall."
