Qatari athlete Mohammed Al Qarni finished first place in the 1,500m Men's race at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou on 1 October 2023.
A historic win, Mohammed recorded a season-best time at 3:38.36. He was followed by India's Ajay Kumar Saroj at 3:38.94 and Jinson Johnson at 3:39.74, taking the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Fellow Qatari athlete Abdirahman Hassan came in 4th place at 3:40.55.
