Qatari plane 37 tons food aid sudan

In a tweet on 5 June 2023 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), a Qatari plane carrying 37 tons of foodstuff provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Qatar Charity (QC) arrived at Port Sudan Airport in Sudan.

This aid comes within the framework of Qatar's support for the Sudanese people, and its full support for their steadfastness in the face of the difficult conditions they are currently living through due to the continuation of the fighting.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the evacuation of 164 Qatari residency holders from Sudan, by a Qatari plane that took off from Port Sudan airport, bringing the total of those evacuated to 1,784 residents. Qatar had earlier evacuated 1,620 Qatari citizens who were in Sudan, holding Qatari residency. The Ministry reiterated the keenness of Qatar to establish security and stability in Sudan.
