The Peninsula Newspaper reported on 19 April 2023 that most public parks will be open till late hours during the Eid Al Fitr holidays based on a Ministry of Municipality announcement that the public works will be operating from 5 am to 2 am.
It was mentioned by the Head of the Parks Section in Doha Municipality, Mohammed Abdullah, that the parks have been prepared to cater to a large number of visitors during Eid Al Fitr as the weather still remains pleasant.
The park preparation works include maintenance. additional cleaning teams and security guards.
It was also mentioned that the parks are operating from 5 am to 2 am to allow for three hours time for cleaning and maintenance.
During the Eid Al Fitr 2022 holidays, public parks received 131,961 visitors, as announced by the Ministry of Municipality.
