On 9 January 2024, the Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation announced the arrest of an individual who stole money from a commercial store. The suspect managed to enter the store through a window intending to steal money from a safe, using certain tools (hammer, screwdriver).

After he confessed to the crime, the suspect was found in possession of a portion of the stolen amount. Consequently, he has been referred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
The Criminal Investigation Department urges commercial store owners to install surveillance cameras to enhance safety measures.
