According to a report by The Peninsula, the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has announced in a press conference that registration for the upcoming Hajj season will begin on 20 September 2023.
Citizens and residents may register from 8 am on 20 September 2023 until 20 October 2023 through the hajj.gov.qa website. The ministry confirms that the approval processes will commence in November.
As per the report, the Saudi authorities' Hajj quota is 4,400 pilgrims, open to all nationalities in Qatar that meet the requirements.
Qatari citizens must be at least 16 years old and may include five companions.
Gulf citizens must be at least 18 years old, possess a Qatar ID, and may include one companion.
Residents must be at least 40 years old, have been a resident of Qatar for at least 10 years, and may include one companion.
