We received the following statement from The St. Regis Doha, Hotel Management:

"We can confirm that a fire broke out just outside the hotel. This was quickly brought under control with the help of the authorities. All guests and associates were evacuated and are safe."

Ministry of Interior, on their official Twitter handle, said the following:

Civil Defence contains a minor fire broke out in carpet pieces outside the St. Regis Hotel building.
No casualties. #MoIQatar

Recently, there have been quite a lot of fire accidents. A fire broke out at the St. Regis Doha this evening around 6 pm.

As per our source, the fire has been put off. It was contained and extinguished completely.

We have reached out to the management for a statement on the cause of the fire and we are currently waiting for their response.
