The first of its kind for Qatar, the Middle East, and North Africa, Expo 2023 Doha is a category A1 International Horticultural Exhibition which is set to attract tourists, residents, students, dignitaries and exhibitors.
Under the theme of "Green Desert, Better Environment", the event is looking to combat desertification by promoting sustainable innovations and having individuals and organisations participate in crucial topics such as modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability.
The Expo 2023 Doha will be taking place from 2 October 2023 to 28 March 2024 at Al Bidda Park. (Note that Expo 2023 Doha will be open to the public from 3 October 2023 onwards as there will be an exclusive closed VIP ceremony on 2 October 2023.
To streamline the large inflow of visitors that is expected, those intending to visit Qatar for the event can enter using the Hayya Card that was introduced during the World Cup Qatar 2022. Expo 2023 Doha will be hosting an exhibition with exhibitors who may contribute to the initiatives, thought-provoking talks & discussions, various cultural activations, food experiences and more.
There will also be celebrations to mark Qatar National Day, along with ceremonies to celebrate the opening and closing of the event.
Expo 2023 Doha will have dedicated buildings and areas across a space of 1,700,000 sqm, which will facilitate the various activations that are a part of the event.
The Congress Center will be a space committed to encouraging networking, exchange of ideas and new partnerships as it will bring people together for conferences, seminars, meetings and other events of the sorts. The space is equipped with seating and necessary audiovisual equipment.
The Exhibition Center covers a space of 7,500 sqm, which presents abundant space for exhibitors to showcase their products and services. The centre promises to be a great location to host B2B and B2C events.
Expo 2023 Doha aims to create memorable family-friendly experiences, and the Family Amphitheatre will be one such place. The amphitheatre will be a venue which will showcase edutainment shows and activities suitable for kids and families and will accommodate a total of 2,000 viewers.
The Indoor Domes will present a green space which will feature plants and flowers that require specific indoor temperatures, lighting and specifications to bloom into gardens.
A marketplace for visitors to browse and explore international handicrafts and artisanal products is the experience that the Cultural Bazaar will be offering.
As the name suggests, the Farmer's Market will be providing a platform for farmers and growers to offer their produce to the event visitors. The space will also be for international pavilions to sell their homegrown agricultural products.
Not only is Expo 2023 Doha promising to offer an informative and educational experience, but the event will also be offering an enriching culinary experience with kiosks serving a range of food and beverages from diverse cuisines.
Sponsors will have an allocated space to present activations in line with the theme or sub-themes of the Expo.
If you are looking for a space to learn more about environmental science, renewable energy and other such topics, the Environment Centre and Biodiversity Museum will be the place to visit, as it is an exhibition zone which will display relevant statistics and information.
The Grandstand Arena will be an entertainment space which will be a stage for world-renowned international and regional artists, with the ability to accommodate up to 5,000 people.
