The Public Works Authority, ‘Ashghal’, has announced the implementation of a temporary diversion on Salwa Road westbound carriageway at Mesaieed Interchange (Exit 24) for a period of one week only, starting on Thursday (today) to facilitate the completion of roadworks related to the Orbital Highway and Truck Route.
During the temporary diversion that has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, traffic heading westbound on Salwa Road towards Bu Samra will be diverted to the parallel service road before Mesaieed Interchange (Exit 24) for a distance of 3 kilometers, and will rejoin Salwa Road after the interchange, as shown in the attached map.
The number of lanes will be reduced from three (3) lanes on Salwa Road to two (2) lanes on the service road.
