Ashghal opens D-Ring Road carriageway and Underpass of Fereej Al Ali (Tadamon) Intersection, to save 70% of journey time, enhance traffic between D Ring and Doha Expressway and areas like Nuaija, Al Hilal, Old Airport and many commercial, educational and health facilities.

The opening included the carriageway along with 3 intersections of Fereej Al Ali, Nuaija and (Lulu), having increased the number of lanes from 3 to 4 in each direction, raising road capacity from 12,000 vehicles/hr. into 16,000 vehicle/hr. in both directions.

The one-km Fereej Al Ali Intersection Underpass will provide free traffic flowing into D-Ring Road from Doha Expressway, saving alone around 50% of travel time since the tunnel comprises 3 lanes in each direction to accommodate 12,000 vehicles/hr. in both directions.

Eng. Yousef Al Emadi, Projects Affairs Manager, confirmed that Ashghal is keen to develop and establish an integrated road network as part of its comprehensive plan to achieve an advanced highway network that links all areas in the country together.
