H.E. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired Wednesday the regular weekly cabinet meeting using video conference technology.

The official working hours during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1441 AH will be for employees and workers according to the following:

A - The government sector is four hours per day, starting from nine in the morning until one in the afternoon.

B - Working hours for the businesses and the private sector is six hours a day in the holy month of Ramadan from 9.00 to 15.00

Includes

The stores of foodstuffs, pharmacies, and restaurants working on deliveries and the contracting sector are excluded from the application of this decision. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in coordination with the concerned authorities, shall determine the other necessary activities exempted from this decision.

Excludes

The following activities are excluded from this decision:

1. Hypermarket, supermarket, groceries and other places for sale of food and groceries, consumer goods, vegetables and fruit

2. Restaurants and cafés - Café (which may only deliver orders)

3. Shops selling sweets, coffee and dates

4. Ordering from supplier companies via electronic applications

5. Telecom company

6. Pharmacies

7. Petrol stations and car services

8. Vehicle workshops

9. Bakeries

10. Companies operating in the hotel sector

11. Factories

12. Maintenance companies (sanitary, electrical and electronic services)

13- Logistics service providers, forwarding companies operating in ports, electricity and electronics.
