Schools, kindergartens and higher education institutions can operate at 100% capacity: Ministry

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced Friday that it will continue offering online services for parents to complete student enrolment and transfer in public schools for the 2020/2021 academic year via the Ministry's Public Service Portal.

The Ministry called on parents to use these electronic services that guarantee their access to the service without the need to visit the ministry, as it was decided not to receive visitors in the Ministry's building as of next Sunday, in light of the precautionary measures and preventive measures taken by the Ministry to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

The Public Service Portal allows the public to have electronic access to the services provided by the Ministry of Education, through a unified window and under a multi-service umbrella, which facilitates the process of obtaining it in a way that meets the aspirations of the public and in a manner that suits their multiple needs. The portal includes a package of services such as the service of educational certificates' verification, online enrollment in government schools, online transfer between schools as well as school and university certificates' equivalency, in addition to adult education registration, online payment services for the fees of textbooks, transportation and the recruitment services.
