The Doha Women Forum, in collaboration with the US Embassy in Doha, L’Occitane and Mondrian Doha, together with WASL Events Marketing, has organised yet another event to bring together women of diverse cultures and backgrounds to inspire and empower women. The Sisterhood Act, to be held on 5th March, 4 pm to 5.30 pm, aims to recognize the resources and opportunities that will help to embrace equity.

The event will follow the theme of the International Women’s Day ‘#EmbraceEquity’, wherein, by the process of equity, the ultimate goal of gender equality can be reached.

The Sisterhood Act taking place on 5 March 2023, will feature a musical performance by Muslim American girl band Aint Afraid, with twin sisters, Inah and Yahzi. Aint Afraid is dedicated to empowering, inspiring, uniting, and motivating people all over through their music, fashion, and art.

Besides providing women the opportunity to meet, connect, find common ground and network, the event will also feature inspiring talks by Asmaa Al Kuwari, Founder of Asmaa Consultancy and Co-Founder of The Global Businesswomen; and Natalie Sader, Author, Psychologist and Coach. The event will be hosted by Life Coach and Trainer Wadha Alathba.

To encourage local talent and provide a platform for local artists to showcase their expertise and share their perspectives with a bigger audience, The Sisterhood Act will host an art exhibition showcasing artworks by artists Maryam Naser, Lina Alali, Saida Albader and Noof Almerekhi.

The Sisterhood Act will be held at the newly opened Patio by Walima at the iconic Mondrian Doha. The spectacular terrace destination with stunning sunset views, serves as the perfect backdrop setting to celebrate International Women’s Day, especially given Mondrian Doha’s ongoing commitment to women empowerment.

Mikel Ibrahim, General Manager at Mondrian Doha said, “Women empowerment has always been at the heart of Mondrian Doha. We have been actively marking such occasions through campaigns and events which reinforces women empowerment. We are delighted to be the venue partner for The Sisterhood Act, an important event held for such an important occasion in our calendar and we look forward to welcoming all these inspiring women through our doors.”

This year’s event is supported by L’Occitane and United States Embassy in Doha and Mondrian Doha, together with American Hospital Clinics and Qatar Events.
