Qatar to present the Business Programme Architecture and the Doha Hall at SPIEF 2021

In the pavilion of the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held on June 2-5, 2021 in St. Petersburg, the official delegation of Qatar will organize a unique business platform - Doha Hall.

All events are combined on the working days of the forum into thematic tracks: "Innovation and Sport", "Russia-Qatar Business Dialogue", "Youth Forum". Also, as part of the business program, the "Russia-Qatar Cultural Dialogue" will be held under the auspices of the Creative Business Forum, the QatarDebate Show.

The kickoff day on June 2 at the Qatar Pavilion will be dedicated to innovation and sports. The World Health Innovation Summit (WISH) session "Innovation and Global Health: a Wealth of Opportunity in Entrepreneurship" will focus on Health Tech & Med Tech: telemedicine, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and big data in the service of digital health. Cross-cultural integration between Qatar and Russia, as well as the prospects for the development of intercountry high-tech, science-intensive, and digital projects will be discussed at the session "Russia-Qatar Innovative Dialogue". At the session "Macro-Economic and Social Impact of Sport" will consider the prospects for the development of a multi-billion-dollar sports industry, which is a driver of innovation, the global economy and an important tool for building international sports diplomacy.

The first workday on June 3 at Doha Hall will discuss the growth points of the Qatari economy, investment opportunities of the Middle East state and the prospects for trade relations between Russia and Qatar during the sessions "Russia-Qatar Business Dialogue" and "Invest Qatar: Emerging Investment and Trade Opportunities of Qatar". The Qatar Development Bank (QDB) will showcase nine high-tech emerging companies with innovative solutions in various industries at a pitch session for Qatari startups. Participants of the dialogue "Russia-Qatar: Preparing for the World Cup and European Championship and Safeguarding their Legacy" will share practical knowledge On June 4, at the sites of the Qatar pavilion, the track of business dialogue between the countries will continue. The Qatar Financial Center (QFC) session "Digital Transformation of Business" will discuss fundamental changes in all areas - from corporate governance to corporate culture and communications. It will be continued by the QFC networking session.

In addition to the business program on June 4, within the framework of the Creative Business Forum, the “Russia-Qatar Cultural Dialogue” will take place. Among the participants in the event is Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, Director General of the Doha Film Institute. Experts will provide guidance for politicians, scientists, creative entrepreneurs on working in creative industries, touch on such topical topics as women's entrepreneurship, trends in creative education and the formation of investment projects, the creation of creative clusters.

On the final day of SPIEF-2021, June 5, the theme of which will be the track "Man in a New Reality. Responding to Global Challenges", the main focus will be on the youth agenda. The day will open with an education business breakfast "University between Global Challenges and Local Commitments: Life after the Pandemic". The key session will be the session of the World Summit on Innovation in Education (WISE) "Leading the Future: Education in a Multi-Pandemic World".

The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation will share its experience at the session "Innovative Financing and Partnerships for Education". Experts from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) will talk about the "Youth Building New World", and under the auspices of the Qatar National Library (QNL), the session "Transforming Libraries and Books in the Digital World: best practices".

QatarDebate show on "Climate Change: Fighting or Adapting?", which will be attended by students will support the youth track and the closing event of the business program in the Qatar Pavilion.

The business agenda of the SPIEF will be complemented by a large-scale cultural program of the Qatari official delegation. Exhibition "Qatar between Land and Sea. Through Arts and Heritage" in the halls of the Russian Ethnographic Museum will present the history of Qatar through unique material objects of various cultures. The Qatar Film Days Festival will showcase the Qatar film industry. The Mawaheb Festival will introduce the Russian public to the musical culture of the Middle East and North Africa.
