Qatar Stock Exchange gains 128.18 points this week

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 128.18 points (+1.22 percent) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,631.28 points.

Trading value during this week increased by 4.46 percent to reach QR765,057,998.82 compared to QR732,376,746.29.

Trading volume increased by 18.96 percent to reach 252,403,636 shares, as against 212,167,565 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 3.14 percent to reach 20,873 transactions as compared to 20,237 transactions.

Market capitalization rose by 1.26 percent to reach QR584,839,781,736.64 as compared to QR577,575,280,141.36 at the end of the previous week.

Banking and financial services sector led traded value this week with 44.1 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 23.29 percent. The transportation sector accounted for 9.46 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 8.49 percent.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 34.05 percent of the total traded volume. Industries sector accounted for 25.12 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.88 percent and Transportation sector accounted for 9.14 percent.

Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week with 32.98 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 26.71 percent. Consumer goods and services sector accounted for 10.24 percent and Real Estate sector accounted for 9.91 percent.

From the 46 listed companies, 20 ended this week higher, while 24 fell and two unchanged.

QNB led trading value during this week accounted for 22.33 percent of the total trading value. Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company accounted for 7.54 percent and Masraf Al Rayan accounted 6.72 percent.
