Doha Metro just added new Metrolink bus routes to its service!

Doha Metro has just added some new routes on it's Metrolink Service - a complimentary shuttle bus service that takes people to and from metro stations on the Red Line South and the areas around them - to facilitate them and make their journey as hassle-free as possible.

These new routes will add to the existing seven Metrolink Buses thatare operating to and from Al Wakra Metro Station to Ezdan Villages, Al Wakra Hospital and Barwa City, Religious Complex and other surrounding areas.

The new Metrolink routes

Four new routes have been added to the existing ones and people who use them are full of praises for the the service as it makes it easier for them to get to and from the stations, especially if they don't own cars, or want to avoid the traffic of driving to and from places around Doha.

Stations already open on the Doha Metro network

The entire Doha Metro network will be complete and operational by 2020, and will be beneficial to those who wish to avoid the heavy traffic on the roads during rush hours because it is faster, convenient and cost-effective.

So far, 13 out of the 18 stations on the first Doha Metro line -the Red Line South - are open and these include Al Wakrah, Ras Bu Fontas, Free Zone, Oqba Ibn Nafie, Matar Al Qadeem, Umm Ghuwailina, Al Doha Al Jadeeda, Msheireb (Interchange station), Al Bidda (Interchange station), Corniche, QIC West Bay, DECC and Al Qassar. More are to be added soon.
