Created five years ago, Qatar Expat Leaving Sale has become one of the largest buy and sell online community groups in the country with more than 237,000 members. It’s either some members of this group are leaving the country for good and selling items they can’t bring with them, or just decluttering their homes.

2. Qatar Expat Women Private Group

“Help women settle into their new lives in Qatar!”- this is the goal of the group’s admin, Carole Astin, for every expat lady that is joining the Facebook page she founded in September 2014.

With more than 16,000 members, and its public Facebook group Qatar Expat Women with over 57,000 members, Qatar Expat Women Private Group is one of the largest women's multicultural networks in Qatar.

Women of all ages, professions, and nationalities are welcome to join the group, especially those who are new in Qatar for them to make connections and meet new people from diverse backgrounds.

In this Facebook group, women share information, views, ideas and give advice to other women about things they need to know while living in Qatar. Before the pandemic hit the country, members of this group used to meet up for ‘coffee mornings’ or ‘weekend beach days’. They also volunteered for community projects and initiatives. Now that things are slowly going ‘back to normal’, the group is gearing up for upcoming activities.

Created in February 2013 with the goal of finding answers to tricky little questions that are hard to find answers for in Qatar, the page now has over 165,000 members. If you are new in Qatar, you will have lots of questions as you slowly immerse yourself in the community or in your workplace, and joining this group will be a big help to find answers to whatever questions you might have.

When, Where & How In Doha is one of the most active Facebook community groups in Qatar, and according to its admin is receiving nearly 500 ‘join requests’ per month. The page is so active that a new query comes in almost every minute.
