Permanent Residency holders can return to Qatar at any time!

H.E. Lolwah Al Khater, the official Spokesperson of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management led a press conference tonight at 9 pm on Qatar's newest measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 & the latest statistics on the virus, that was broadcast on QatarTelevision and Alrayyan TV.

During the press conference, she stated that Qatari citizens living abroad, in addition to Qatari children, Qatari spouses, Qatari women and those with permanent residence permits, can return to Qatar at any time, subject to the quarantine condition.

Permanent residence permit holders are not QID holders and they are different.

What is a Permanent Residence Permit?

In April 2019, Qatar opened an application for “permanent residence permit” to below:

  • Those who completed 20 years in Qatar on a legal ordinary residency permit if he/she was born outside of Qatar.
  • Those who have enough income to cover the expenses of himself and his family.
  • Those who have good conduct and reputation.
  • Those who have sufficient knowledge of the Arabic language.
