Qatar Charity (QC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Health, distributed health kits to 900 workers in the Lusail area, in the presence of a number of officials of the Ministry of Administrative Development, QC and a number of volunteers, as a part of QC's awareness efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and try to control and reduce infections.

Director of the General Inspection Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Fahad Zafer Al Dosari said that these efforts reflect the awareness already being done and provides guidance to establishments in Qatar in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Public Health and QC.
He added that there have also been major efforts to sterilize workers' accommodations and facilitate medical examination procedures, raise awareness and guidance at work sites and headquarters of facilities subject to the labor law and establishments in general.
Director of the Local Development Department of QC Jassim Mohammed Al Emadi stressed that the campaign targeted the largest number of workers, as it started from the Azab (farm) compounds and then the workers housing and construction sites. 10,000 health kits were distributed to workers in different regions during the previous period, while those distributed on Monday were to 900 workers in the Lusail area and 2,400 kits to workers in other regions.
He pointed out that the health kits contain educational publications in seven languages that include the most important educational guidelines which were distributed to workers of all nationalities and languages with the aim of raising awareness of how to deal with the coronavirus to preserve their safety and the safety of society, in addition to the requirements of personal and preventive hygiene, stressing that what QC does is based on its national duty and responsibility towards society.
Director of the Labor Relations Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development Abdullah Al Dosari explained that the workers are part of the State and a key part in view of their role in the development and reconstruction of the State, stressing the importance of increasing their health awareness and care as sons of this country.
