The Ministry of Public Health said that schools are being tracked by officials as a precautionary measure related to Coronavirus. So far there have been no cases reported in schools and it was confirmed that no children have been infected with the virus in the 12 positive cases that have been recorded so far. Therefore there is no need to close the schools.
It was also mentioned that Coronavirus infection among people under 22 years of age is extremely rare and if it occurs then it can be cured immediately.
The Ministry of Public Health and Primary Health Care officials are conducting awareness campaigns in schools for the well being of the students, teaching and non- teaching staff.
