H.E. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani visited on Thursday the medical isolation complex and hospital in Umm Salal, to inspect the readiness of the complex set up by the state within the national implementation plan to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
H.E. the Prime Minister was briefed on the medical capabilities and facilities of the complex and the hospital prepared for medical isolation for those infected with the novel coronavirus. The medical isolation complex and hospital has a capacity of 12,500 beds and is equipped with all the necessary amenities, safety, and health requirements. H.E. the Prime Minister also inspected places for entertainment and meals.
During the visit, His Excellency met with the staff of the complex, including doctors, nurses, and volunteers, and thanked them for their efforts in their positions at the front rows to confront the COVID-19 epidemic, urging them to provide all possible medical and humanitarian services to help the infected.
