H.E. Lolwah Al Khater, the official Spokesperson of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management led a press conference tonight at 9 pm on Qatar's newest measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 & the latest statistics on the virus, that was broadcast on QatarTelevision and Alrayyan TV.

  • Extending the closure of the closed part of the industrial zone while ensuring the continued flow of food and medical supplies and continuing medical examinations.
  • 3 mobile medical units for examination, 6 ambulances and the allocation of 3 clinics within the industrial zone.

On March 17, H.E. Lolwah Al Khater mentioned that the closing of the parts of Industrial Zone was done after discovering a number of cases there, which are subject to quarantine, and this decision came to the safety of the residents of the region by continuous medical examination procedures, and to prevent other areas from further spread of the virus.

Extending over an area of 32.1 sq.km, Industrial Area in Doha brings together many businesses, service centers, warehouses, and small shops. It’s not only home to a large number of labor camps but also other housing units. The majority of the area’s workers reside in the adjacent Labour City.
