As of today (12 March 2020), until further notice, the Primary Health Care Corporation's (PHCC) Muaither Health Centre will become an examination, testing and holding facility for anyone that is suspected of being infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the PHCC's Twitter status.

As a result of this, there will be changes to all the other regular services at the Muaither Health Centre till this critical time is over.

Please note the following changes to the Health centre's existing services:

1. All appointments at the Muaither Health Centre

All antenatal, well baby, ultra sound and non communicable disease appointments will now be rescheduled and transferred to the Al Wajbah Health Centre.

2. Walk-in appointments at the Muaither Health Centre

For walk in appointments, please visit the Health centres nearby like the Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Health Centre, Al Rayyan Health Centre, Al Wajbah Health Centre or the Al Waab Health Centre.

3. Other clinic appointments like ENT, Dentistry, etc. at the Muaither Health Centre

The appointments for all other non-essential clinics will be rescheduled to another date as soon as possible.

The PHCC apologises for any inconvenience this may cause the citizens and residents of Qatar, but hopes everyone will understand that this is a necessary step taken to ensure an outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) can be controlled and prevented from spreading further, especially after Qatar recorded the infected cases as 162 as of yesterday (11 March 2020) evening.

The PHCC also advises anyone who has non essential or non communicable disease appointments or wants to walk-in for an appointment to only visit the PHCC Health Centres in Qatar, if absolutely necessary, otherwise cancel and reschedule.
