Ghana took the lead by scoring the first goal of the match by Mohammed Salisu in the 24th minute. This was followed by Mohammed Kudus' goal for Ghana in the 34th minute. After half-time, South Korea scored their first goal through Gue-sung Cho in the 58th minute, followed by another one by him for South Korea in the 61st minute.
Mohammed Kudus of Ghana came back with another goal for his team and his second in the match in the 68th minute, bringing the score to 3-2 in favour of Ghana at full-time.
