The public transportation provider Mowasalat announced in a tweet on April 4, 2022, the launch of the Metroexpress services in Mehairja and Al Waab areas.

In order to avail the free service the Karwa Taxi App must be downloaded.

The instructions are as follows:

1. Download Karwa Taxi App
2. Select 'metroexpress' tab
3. Specify number of passengers travelling
4. Request a ride and wait for it to arrive at the chosen pick-up point

It was specified that the service is only to be availed by Doha Metro passengers and to be used only in the case of accessibility to a Metro ride.
