A gorgeous destination, Armenia is a Eurasian country that was once an important part of the Silk Route. From ancient monasteries, historical sites, amazing cuisine, picturesque landscapes and more, there's plenty to do in Armenia, starting from the capital, Yerevan, also known as "Pink City." Don't miss riding the world's longest cable car, the Tatev Aerial Tramway. If you'd like to ski, head to Tsaghkador Ski Resort.
Georgia, known to its residents as Sakartvelo, is a Eurasian country popular with travellers from GCC countries because of its proximity. It's famous for its high mountain ranges, incredible landscapes, and delicious food. You can ski in the winter, hike the mountains during summer, swim in the Black Sea, or enjoy the famous landmarks throughout Georgia.
Straddling Europe and Asia, Turkey is famous for its incredible architecture and landscapes. Istanbul is the most populous city in Turkey, historically known as Constantinople and Byzantium. The sightseeing here will impress even the most monument-weary visitor. There is a dazzling array of other things to do throughout the city, which include checking out the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Place, and many more. Visit the covered markets and haggle for carpets, jewellery, handicrafts, spices, and a vast array of other items.
Some popular spots in this East-meets-West destination are the Mosque of Hala Sultan, the Church of Saint Lazarus, the Medieval Castle, and Larnaka Salt Lake, filled with pink flamingos during winter. The laidback vibe and ancient history of Larnaca (Larnaka) are perfect for travellers who want to explore the best of both worlds.
Athens has everything from ancient monuments and world-class museums to relaxing beaches! Acropolis Museum, National Archaeological Museum, Parthenon, Erechtheion, Temple of Hephaestus, Herod Atticus Odeon, there are so many beautiful places to visit in Athens.
A popular destination for couples, Maldives is a nation composed of more than a thousand beautiful islands in the Indian Ocean. It's known for its pristine waters, gorgeous beaches, soft sand, and resorts with water bungalows. Maldives' waters are also filled with colourful underwater life.
According to Visit Maldives, "All nationalities receive a 30-day visa on arrival, provided that you have a valid passport, an onward flight ticket, and a reservation at a tourist facility or enough funds to cover your stay in the country."
Okay, Seychelles doesn't fit in the under 5 hours flight, but it's close enough. This place is popular for its white sandy beaches and clear waters. This island paradise has three main islands - Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. Aside from the beaches, travellers can scuba dive, trek through the rainforests, walk around tropical gardens, and wander around the capital city of Victoria.
Seychelles is a visa-free country for any nationality. However, according to Experience Seychelles,
"all visitors, including children, must be in possession of a valid passport for the entire duration of stay, a return or onward flight ticket, proof of a booking confirmation for accommodation (for the first three nights at least, including contact details), and sufficient funds for the length of stay (approximately €135 / $150 per day). It is on the presentation of these documents that you will be granted and issued free of charge a Visitor’s Permit, which is valid for three months from the date of issue."
