Paving the Way for Future Women of Qatar

It's International Women’s Day and in celebration of this special day, a host of special guests will be coming to Education City to take part in a discussion panel. The panelists include various industry leaders in Qatar including Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Financial Centre; Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, Chief Executive Officer of Doha Film Institute; and Machaille Hassan Al Naimi, President of Community Development at Qatar Foundation. The session will be moderated by Dr. Amal Mohammed Al-Malki, Founding Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

They will be speaking about the shifting landscape in Qatar, where women are taking up more and more leadership positions across all industries. Come and hear what they have to say!

Looking for a fun volunteering opportunity? Then join the clean-up campaign of Doha Environmental Actions Project (DEAP) that promotes better environmental practices and encourages people to bin rubbish or take it home to recycle instead of dumping it at the beach.

To continue spreading awareness about environmental protection and preservation of the natural resources in Qatar, DEAP in cooperation with the Department of Archeology at Qatar Museums invite you to our heritage site cleanup at the Qatari Heritage Village of Al Ghariyah! This is a kid and family-friendly event, so join the initiative along with your loved ones to help keep Qatar clean and plastic pollution-free!

Katara has an indoor bazaar with more than 200 stalls from 18 different countries. You can buy lots of products such as clothes, perfumes, bags, handicrafts, footwear, other accessories and much more.
