Gear up for this year's motor racing event in Qatar as the 2022 MotoGP™ World Championship season-opener takes place at the Lusail International Circuit from March 4-6.

This year’s Grand Prix of Qatar promises to be one of the most spectacular events on the MotoGP calendar, as fans will experience the thrilling race action at night, under the dazzling floodlights of the circuit.

The event is the oldest motorsports championship in existence and is also the most exciting in the world. MotoGP has been a thrilling race for fans since 1949 and in Qatar, since 2004, featuring the best riders on the most technologically advanced and fastest prototypes in the world.

In 2004, the Lusail International Circuit held its first event with the 2004 Grand Prix of Qatar. The track hosted the first night race in MotoGP’s history in 2008. Having hosted two back-to-back race events in 2021, this year’s MotoGP opening round will mark the 20th race held at the state-of-the-art venue.

Event schedule

Race track practice and the qualifying rounds will take place on the first two days (March 4 and 5). MotoGP™ race is set to begin at 3 pm on the third and final day on March 6. CLICK HERE for the full schedule.

    Tickets

      Expect spectacular performances from this year's Grand Prix of Qatar, as world champions and experienced riders will face a batch of MotoGP rookies! Competition is expected to be at its most intense, with more eyes on French Fabio Quartararo, who won the 2021 MotoGP™ World Championship.

      Activities

      The action-packed 2022 MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix will be full of fun and entertainment. Fans and spectators will get to enjoy food and beverages from various food courts, fun games at the Fan Zone, and live performances!

      • A family-friendly Friday - Children under the age of 12 will be allowed to partake in the event and its various activities for free.
      • A live concert on Sunday - Save the date for the Arab star Bader Al-Shuaibi's concert on the last day of the race.
      • MotoGP Exhibition - Take photos with over 20 legendary vehicle models.
      • Graffiti Art - Three lifesize 3D motorbikes will be painted by local graffiti artists.
        • The Fan Zone is inclusive of all ticket purchases.
        • Sunday & 3-days weekend tickets will give access to the concert, family entertainment, and much more.

      VERY Important information:

      • Anyone that is coming from abroad needs to follow the country’s entry requirements which can be found on the Ministry of Public Health website
      • Only vaccines approved by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health will be accepted.
      • Lusail International Circuit will not be held responsible for ticket holders who do not follow the entry requirements for Qatar.
