Qatar's high jumper and Olympic champion, Mutaz Issa Barshim will return to action after fully recovered from last's season injury to participate in Polish International Athletics Friendly Championship will get underway on Sunday.
Qatar Athletics Federation's Secretary General Mohammed Issa Al Fadala outlined in a press release to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on Friday that Barshim fully recovered from ankle injury had sustained in July last year.
" Mutaz will take part in Polish international athletics Championship, and will participate in some training programs ahead of his participation in IAAF Word Athletics Championships Doha 2019 in September" added Al Fadala.
He won bronze at the London 2012 Olympic Games and went one better at the Rio Olympics to take silver. He also brought home the gold after an imperious display at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics in London.
He was earlier the Asian Indoor and World Junior champion in 2010 and won the high jump gold medals at the 2011 Asian Athletics Championships and 2011 Military World Games.
