Qatari skydiving team gets fourth guinness world record

As reported by the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Qatar Skydive Team broke the world record for the largest parachuting canopy formation at night, with 37 parachutists representing Qatar in the event held in Florida, USA.

The Qatar Skydive Team broke three Guinness World Records, the first of which was in 2018 in Deland, Florida, USA, by breaking the world record of the largest parachuting canopy formation at night with 25 parachutists. In November 2020, the team managed to break the world record of the most parachuting sequences in a canopy formation by a team of 5 in Evora, Portugal. The third time was in June 2021 when they broke the record of the most canopy formation 4 sequences in a full break large formation in Zephyr Hills, Florida, USA.

With this record, the Qatar Skydive Team of the Qatar Air Sports Committee of the Joint Special Forces now holds 4 world records in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Under the patronage of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, the award ceremony for breaking the world record for freestyle skydiving within the Guinness Book of World Records was held for the Qatar Skydive Team of the Qatar Air Sports Committee of the Joint Special Forces.

The ceremony was held in the presence of HE Commander of the Joint Special Forces Staff Brigadier General Jassim bin Ali Al Attiyah, secretary-general of the Qatar Air Sports Committee Hazaa Hamad Al Attiyah, and representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records.
