Qatar versus Costa Rica friendly international match kicked off at 8:00 pm, Doha time in Austria today.
Qatar started the game strong and Hassan Al Haydos scored the first goal against Costa Rica, with a penalty kick in the 42nd minute. At halftime, the score was 1-0, in favour of Qatar.
After the halftime, Costa Rica's Joel Cambpell scored an equalizer goal at the 67th minute. Both the teams played a well-fought out match until the end of the game, which resulted in a draw, with the teams scoring one goal each at full time.
The match against Costa Rica is the second friendly this year after Qatar played a match against Ghana in the Turkish city of Antalya earlier this month. These matches have been listed after the national team’s playing schedule was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the globe.
