Qatari Dakar Rally champion Nasser Al-Attiyah was forced to withdraw from the Dakar Rally 2024 during the eighth stage after 62 km due to engine failure.
Al-Attiyah and co-pilot Mathieu Baumel were at a standstill for more than 1 hour and 15 minutes as they waited for their assistance team to arrive.
This has taken Al-Attiyah's second place overall standing to 17th place.
#DakarRally #QMMF pic.twitter.com/9zPsBbmuFq
